Well its an easy day today, just a jog, swim and gym to do.... man that actually sounds like a hard day!
The last couple of days have been pretty full on training.
Yesterday (sunday) we did Time Trials on the bike. 20mins uphill, which I enjoyed as I like hill climbing, then 5mins, 2mins, 1mins, 30sec and 2x 12sec, all with rest in between.
Have been doing TT's in the pool aswell, pretty happy with my times.
So training has been going well, but Im learning that you really have to be careful and make sure you dont go too hard, as your body is already working harder than it normally would because of the altitude.
Next week I will be racing in a local Stroke and Stride, the distance is 750m swim and 5k run. This is to help me get ready for Des Moines WC race! Which is now less than 2 weeks away. I am already nervous and pretty excited as they give
prize money right down to 50th place! Not that I plan on coming 50th.
Today is Memorial Day in the USA, so its a holiday. In Boulder they have a run race called BoulderBoulder, thousands of people turn up to run it in different age groups etc. After that they have a pro race with some of the worlds top 10k runners taking part. Cant wait to watch it!
