After Lausanne we went back to Germany and I got straight back into training. It was hard at times as the weather had turned cold, but I did my best to stay warm. Before swimming I could never decide if I should put my wetsuit on or not...

Right now I am sitting in the hotel in Budapest! It is a very nice hotel I might add, perfect place to end my overseas trip. The continental breakfast is great!
We left Germany at 6.30am yesterday morning and arrived at around 4pm that afternoon.
I have had a chance to look around today. I feel very lucky to have visited all these famous citys.
Budapest is totally different again, lots of the same size buildings and I admit I find it very hard to find my way around, it all looks very similar - like a rabbit warren. There are some amazing old buildings though, the kind that you cant help but say "wow" when you see them.
I learned that one side if the river is called Buda and the other is called Pest!

I left NZ on the 16th of May. It has been an amazing journey and longest time I have been away from home. I have improved alot on this trip, focusing mainly on my running speed. Training has been great over here and I feel fit, happy and ready to race!
I will be racing in the U23 Elite category in my first year of Olympic distance racing, so I am looking forward to having a strong race and a good result.

I am into taper mode now to freshen up for the race on Saturday!

Thanks to my coach - Peter Bennetts, family, friends and sponsors - Perfomance Bicycle Tuning, Blueseventy and Brooks for your support, I hope I make you proud!
