Halfway

One week down, one week to go! I am enjoying it down here, but at the same time I can't wait to get home!

We did some really great training over the weekend. Saturday started with a fun open water swim, the water was suprisingly very warm! Our swim coach said it's because of the earthquake and all the geothermal activity, which makes sense as the water is def colder up in Auckland.

Camp Christchurh

The first week of Christchuch camp is nearly over!
I am learning/listening and soaking up as much as I can. It gets hard when you are already doing the basic's well as then you have to start picking things apart and finding the little things that will make improvements. It can be hard at times as it requires a bit of concentration to practice them, especially when all you want to do is lie on the couch after a long day.

It is beautiful down here, we are staying in apartments in North New Bright...

training, racing, camps...

Well training has been going really well, helped along by the awesome weather! I really like training in the heat, so I cant wait for summer to offically arrive.

On Wednesday night I raced a Stroke and Stride. I led out the swim and then managed to struggle home on the run for a 2nd place, so that was nice.
It hurt though as I did not freshen up at all and just treated it as another hard training session, my legs felt like lead!
