quick update

Training has been going well these past few weeks. Just been ticking along getting ready for Kinloch and Takapuna in Feb, then Wellington and Maloolaba in March! Exciting!

Raced Stroke&Stride last night. I didnt manage to pull off another win, but I was happy with my run. Finished 3rd.

First S&S Win.... ever

It was hard to leave the Mount last weekend, I really like it down there, it was great fun training with all the other athletes around.
Our Performance Bicycle Tuning team came second in the mixed team divison for the Half.
My highlight was beating a current top NZ swimmer out of the water on the first lap, then coming in only 20sec behind her after swimming the whole 2k!

I raced the first Stroke and Stride of 2010 on Wednesday night, and WON! Finally - I was getting used to coming 2nd/3rd..

This weekend we're off to sunny Mt Maunganui for the Half Ironman, I'll be doing the swim for the Performance Bicycle Tuning Team! Then I get to cheer on Ben and all the other athletes who are racing!

It will be the third weekend in a row that I have been away from home (hence the title), and by now you would think I should be getting good at packing my gear...

Training has been great, loving the hot weather! Although I still feel abit jaded from the race on Sunday.

moving on up

Well, what can I say? Today was a big step up to the standard distance, and man was it long! def felt the tour in my legs. It was also very hot and really tough course, half the run was on sand, it was rather hard to get my head around. I was going well untill the run... the last 2 laps of it (there were 3 laps..) I would rather not talk about...
But I finished the race! which was the main aim!
Also really enjoyed wearing my new Performance Bicycle Tuning race suit! very comfortable.
