I had a great swim on Sunday, from Rangitoto to St Heliers. The weather was fantastic and I had lots of laughs travelling over on the ferry! The conditions were perfect and it made a great change from pool swimming. I was pleased with my time and both my legs and wrists felt good.

Talking of my wrists, I have had minor surgery on both wrists to remove painful cysts. They are feeling better already and it is certainly going to be easier to get out of the pool now, something I have been struggling with.

I enjoyed watching the race in Sydney over the weekend and I am itching to get racing! My plans are coming together and I am off to Cairns for a training camp on May 1st, followed by a race in Seoul on May 15th. The main focus in that race will be the swim and cycle, with the run being a little more cautious as my legs are still recovering. Then I am home for a few weeks before heading off to Boulder.

I am happy with my training and can feel my fitness coming back. Long may the sun keep shining!
