Big News, I will be having surgery for compartment syndrome in less than two weeks!
It will be good to get this problem fixed but it is also hard as I am missing all the early season races I had planned to race.
But there are a ton of positives to come out of having this surgery done, most of all I am looking forward to racing without worrying whether my legs will go numb or not.
I will still be going overseas to race the World Championship series races, with my main focus being the London race which is an Olympic Qualifier and the World Champs in September.

After having just over a week off training I have started back into some light training. With the surgery so close all the training I am doing now does not count for much. I am just focusing on enjoying it and keeping fit so I can recover fast and get back on track. Woo.

Last week I attended a camp in Gisborne, it was mostly a swim camp with a focus on open water swimming.
The weather was great and so was the surf, I learnt heaps and had a blast.

This weekend is the Sprint Nationals in Kinloch. Sadly I will not be racing but I will be going down to watch and support all my friends.
